Trios in concert
نویسنده
چکیده
A trio is a term : : : 0 in the polyadic-calculus. We show that restricted parallel composition of possibly replicated trios, where at most one contains a bound output preex, is enough to obtain the expressive power of the full summation-free-calculus up to weak bisimulation equivalence. Therefore that fragment of the calculus is undecidable.

Imputation of parent-offspring trios and their effect on accuracy of genomic prediction using Bayesian method
The objective of this study was to evaluate the imputation accuracy of parent-offspring trios under different scenarios. By using simulated datasets, the performance Bayesian LASSO in genomic prediction was also examined. The genome consisted of 5 chromosomes and each chromosome was set as 1 Morgan length. The number of SNPs per chromosome was 10000. One hundred QTLs were randomly distributed a...
متن کاملComparison of three boosting methods in parent-offspring trios for genotype imputation using simulation study
BACKGROUND Genotype imputation is an important process of predicting unknown genotypes, which uses reference population with dense genotypes to predict missing genotypes for both human and animal genetic variations at a low cost. Machine learning methods specially boosting methods have been used in genetic studies to explore the underlying genetic profile of disease and build models capable of ...
متن کاملLinkage disequilibrium of single-nucleotide polymorphism data: how sampling methods affect estimates of linkage disequilibrium
UNLABELLED Linkage disequilibrium (LD) is an important measure used in the analysis of single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) data. We used the Genetic Analysis Workshop 16 (GAW16) Framingham Heart Study 500 k SNP data to explore the effect of sampling methods on estimating of LD for SNP data. METHOD AND DATA We found 332 trios in the GAW16 Framingham SNP data. Repeated random samples without r...
متن کاملThe power of the transmission disequilibrium test (TDT) with both case-parent and control-parent trios.
The transmission disequilibrium test (TDT) customarily uses affected children and their parents (often case-parent trios, TDTD). Control-parent trios are necessary to guard against spurious significant results due to segregation distortion but are not generally utilized in the identification of disease susceptibility loci (DSL). Controls are often easy to recruit and the TDT can easily be exten...
متن کاملUsing DNA pools for genotyping trios
The genotyping of mother-father-child trios is a very useful tool in disease association studies, as trios eliminate population stratification effects and increase the accuracy of haplotype inference. Unfortunately, the use of trios for association studies may reduce power, since it requires the genotyping of three individuals where only four independent haplotypes are involved. We describe her...
